8 32 57 cute animals, the world, ironic hero.
No one thought it would ever come down to this. The world hanging like a jewel in the sky the hero and villain fallen and the only two left to decide the fate of the world a mutant cast off and a genetically engineered rabbit killing machine bent on destruction. Katara swallowed, she had been a mutant a freak her whole life and now she was the only one left to fight for the crummy world that always hated her. She screwed together every ounce of hate and malice and thrashed with her claws, trying desperately to down the superior opponent. She had to win, it was the last thing the only one who had ever been kind to her had wanted. His last wish was that that horrid and rancid world be given just one more day, one more hour to right itself before the end. With him her only bright star gone, the least she could do was go down fighting for his hope. The hope that the world could be redeemed. She supposed, as the rabbit's spear cut her skin, that if she could give those vile creatures below, just one more minute, one more second with her life, then she would join her master in his eternal rest. She was pushed back, flung through the uncaring sky to the body of her fallen master, she was sure now she would die in his limp embrace. Then she heard it, the faint gaultier gasping. Her master was alive. Katara spun with new vigor with a sudden surge of hope. She didn't give a damn about the cold sapphire world below, but this man, this singular hope for everything, for that she could fight beyond death.
